Committees

CAME has a number of committees that seek to manage the operations of our organization.

Awards Committee

The purpose of this committee is to adjudicate the nominations for medical education awards sponsored by CAME. Currently this includes the CAME Meridith Marks New Educator Award (formerly the New Educator/Junior Award) and the Ian Hart Award for Distinguished Contribution to Medical Education.

The CAME Awards Committee has no role in adjudicating the CAME Certificate of Merit Awards. While sponsored by CAME, the Certificate of Merit Awards are adjudicated locally by CAME Board School Representatives and their committees.

This committee will review and revise the awards’ criteria at regular intervals as appropriate; and recommend new awards for consideration by the Executive Committee of CAME.
